Food Service Sanitation Program
The Illinois Department of Public Health requires that all food service establishments that prepare and serve food will be required to have a certified food service manager on the premises at all times food is being handled. Also, certificate holders must renew their license by attending an approved food safety refresher course.
The Illinois Food Retailers Association is offering both the initial 15-Hour Food Service Sanitation Certificate Course and the Sanitation Certificate Renewal Course in many areas throughout the state.
Cost includes course book, instruction, and exam. Certification exam administered on last day. State certificate fees are charged directly to each student upon successful completion of their certification exam.
In order that we may have adequate course materials available for each class, you must pre-register.
Renewal Courses
Please call our office before registering for a renewal class to confirm availability. Pre-registration is required, please click on the link below to print out the registration form. Indicate "Full Course" or "Renewal Course" for each students name. Fax or send completed form to the Illinois Food Retailers Association.
Each student must bring a copy of their current certificate.
We encourage members to register as many employees as possible who work in the food preparation area.
